Today’s Inspiration
Are you living your ‘life style’ every day from your heart or are you dreaming of your lifestyle as a future thing that will happen when you ‘have enough money, time, energy’? True wealth is how you choose to set up your day bringing in everything that is important to you according to your heart values. Set up the ‘life style’ that suits you and the important people in your life.
Coaching Tip
I use to think that I could only live my desired lifestyle when I retired with enough money and time. Today I know it has nothing to do with these things. Sure money and time are important; yet what is more important is how you spend your time. It is all about knowing who you are and what is important to you, then making sure you create the ‘style of life’ spending time doing those things.
Set up a conscious life style plan and begin to put those things in place on a daily, weekly, monthly and yearly basis. My experience is, it is always the simple things in life that are the most desired each day which create success, contentment, fulfilment wealth and inner peace. This is true wealth everyday.

I was having a coaching conversation yesterday with a group of small business owners who were in the process of defining what Success really looked like to them. One business owner had realised that Success was not the tangible things alone that she had been striving for… for years; her real desire was the intangible that brought out her best.

It’s interesting and certainly exhausting how we are all chasing something in life that we think will make us happier, more successful or whatever your hopeful reasoning is. You may be moving so fast in the busy pace of your own life that you find yourself skimming over the surface. When you focus on your vision and goals as a future event that you are working towards achieving,
this will always create feelings of unfulfilled frustration because you are never living in the here and
now. Life fulfillment always lies in the present. When you set up your lifestyle and business style in
a way which consciously fulfils your values each day, then no matter what happens you will always
enjoy the journey with a sense of fulfillment and purpose.
Coaching Tip
How often do you find yourself wondering why you are still not happy when you have fulfilled a goal you were hoping it would change the way you felt about yourself and your life success? I use to always live in the past or the future, finding that the present moment never existed. This created feelings of chasing something outside of myself every day finding that no matter what I did achieve, it never felt enough.
The 3 steps to live your fulfilling valued lifestyle and business style are:
- Identify your Life and Business Values
- How do you wish to spend your time physically to accommodate your Life and Business Values
- Place these physical actions into your diary knowing that you are living your values each day
Your only job is to be fully present, living 100% in the moment enjoying the actions you know you have set up according to what is most important to you. Yes, it can be that simple when you design your life and business success.

“What is the one thing I know I want to do on a daily basis that has me connect with my true inner self”?
i.e. meditation, exercise, journal writing etc.
“What are the top 10 things I love in my life that makes me feel good and brings out my best?”
i.e. watch the sunset, write a book, good friends, spend time with my children etc.
“What is my greatest vision over the next 1 year, 5 years, 10 years and beyond; emotionally, physically, financially, relationally, spiritually?”
“What values do I want to live my life by and how do I wish to express these values?”
i.e. Family – spend quality time with my partner and children, Creativity – write a book about what I am passionate about.

Are you Head Driven or Heart Connected?

Do you continually find yourself making decisions from your head with you feeling frustrated because you are still not living the lifestyle and business style you are desiring? To live life fully means making decisions with a body-mind-soul connection through the practice of getting out of your busy head and allowing your heart to be the director of your decisions. Reconnect to your whole body today.
Coaching Tip
I was coaching a client last week about this very subject who claimed to me that he was so use to making decisions from his head that he truly did not know how to make decisions from his heart. Can you relate to this? I certainly have been there myself to which I have found some really simple and effective tools that have helped me to practice my commitment of making decisions from my heart. When I first started these new practices, they seemed so simple I did not believe that they would truly work. Notice how much you may push aside the simplicity of things by not making time to do them regularly. They just may change your life as they have mine.
Here are some of the many easy tools I practice : consciously take 3 deep breaths 5 times throughout your day, 15 mins of relaxing your mind by focussing on your breath, trusting your gut feelings/intuition and taking inspired actions, moving your body in ways you enjoy, journal writing, practice tuning into your heart feelings each day by asking yourself “how do I feel right now?”, thank 1 person each day, acknowledge everything you have participated in throughout your day, write down 5 things you are grateful in your life each day with heart feeling.
