Today’s Inspiration
Having your own vision gives you more purpose and meaning to life. A vision will support you in times of doubt, especially when you face challenges and you start to question the who, what, and how you want to live your life, based on what’s most important to you. Knowing your heart’s vision will help you to maintain your focus and live a life you love.
Coaching Tip
A couple of important things to remember when identifying your vision is to make sure it is not future based alone. For your vision to be fulfilling you need to identify what is important to you based on your values and take action on these each and every day.
For example, you may have a strong family value and your vision may be to have a loving and connected relationship with your family – then your action may be to make time each day to connect with your family (not wait for the holidays). When you act on this, your life has instant purpose with valued meaning.

Heart Connected Decisions

Do you continually find yourself making decisions from your head with this leaving you feeling frustrated because you are still not living the life you truly desire? To live life fully means making decisions with a body-mind-soul connection through the practice of getting out of your busy head and allowing your heart to be the director of your decisions. Reconnect to your whole body today.
Coaching Tip
I was coaching a client last week about this very subject who claimed to me that he was so use to making decisions from his head that he truly did not know how to make decisions from his heart. Can you relate to this? I certainly have been there myself to which I have found some really simple and effective tools that have helped me to practice my commitment of making decisions from my heart. When I first started these new practices, they seemed so simple I did not believe that they would truly work. Notice how much you may push aside the simplicity of things by not making time to do them regularly. They just may change your life as they have mine.
Here are some of the many tools I practice : consciously take 3 deep breaths 5 times throughout your day, 15 mins of relaxing your mind by focussing on your breath, trusting your gut feelings/intuition and taking inspired actions, moving your body in ways you enjoy, journal writing, practice tuning into your heart feelings each day by asking yourself “how do I feel right now?”, thank 1 person each day, acknowledge everything you have participated in throughout your day, write down 5 things you are grateful for each day.

Better Communication for Loving Relationships

Your relationships in life will be much more harmonious, with you always being heard (and gotten),
when you use ‘Heart to Heart’ communications. This is when you commit to speaking from your heart
into another person’s heart maintaining a neutral tone of voice coming from love and respect for yourself and the other person. Stay in your heart and create deeper and fulfilling relationships today.
Coaching Tip
Practice today communicating from your heart focussing on a win/win outcome. Remember, the most effective way to create harmony and change is to stay calm in your tone of voice, breath, and speak from your heart – not your head.
When you get uptight, just know that you are going into your head and that is your indication to bite your tongue, breath (this will give you the space to go into your heart), then speak calmly and assertively. When communicating ‘Head to Head’, it is easy to blurt out something that you can never take back. By the way when you say something hurtful to someone, did you know that you hurt yourself first!
Yes, it takes practice if you are someone like I was always coming from a defensive and reactive attitude. Be patient with yourself and others.

Space for Life Changing Decisions

There may be times in your life when you find yourself facing a heartfelt life changing decision. To make this decision space is required to truly listen to your inner most thoughts and feelings. Even the smallest of space can support you in your decision making. The challenge is to trust, listen and act on whatever this sacred space you have given yourself is telling you to do.
Coaching Tip
I have personally been creating space for myself over the past month to allow a life changing decision close to my heart naturally flow through me. This came about because I was trying to make a decision and the answers were not coming to me. Because of this I felt like I was putting myself under so much pressure which felt quite painful. To give myself full permission to engage in this space, I needed to surrender into my natural body flow in each moment instead of pushing my routine way of life.
As an inspirational writer, I found myself challenged because the very things which came naturally to me inside my writing was not in a state of flow. My motto in life is ‘if it is not flowing – then it is not divine time’. I had to trust whatever needed to be placed on hold right now was all divine – and if it was meant to be – then it would return naturally. Yes, my decision has naturally come to me through my state of flow giving me peace of mind, body and soul.
I would like to invite you to create space for yourself in some small way so that you can practice your flowing way of life. Notice what naturally comes to the surface bringing you more joy, clarity and happiness in your life.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all of you who took the time to share your heartfelt emails about missing reading my daily inspirations. I look forward to connecting with you all with greater insight and wisdom.

Great Communication Tool

Sometimes it is difficult to say what you really want to say to someone when you know you want to set a particular boundary whilst keeping your relationships in a place of love, respect and dignity. There is a great communication tool I use called ‘CRC’. Commend~Recommend~Commend. We all love being acknowledged at the same time as knowing exactly where we stand.
Coaching Tip
More about CRC and how it works. Let’s say you want to let a colleague know that you do not appreciate them being late all the time.
How you frame it using the CRC method is to firstly Commend them on who they are to you inside your relationship and what you most value in them i.e. “I really value the work you are doing which is moving this project along”.
Then you come in with the Recommend i.e. “I have noticed you are late on occasions and I was wondering if there is a problem your end with our scheduling”. Then wait and listen to hear what they have to say…with you following on with an assertive (yet neutral tone) something like…”maybe we can schedule our meeting at a more appropriate time so that it suits both of us, as my preference is that we start at the time we set”.
Then follow on with the Commend i.e. “Once again (use their name), I wanted to let you know how much your valuable input is making a difference to this project”.
The CRC method works in all walks of life as a great communication tool. Give it a try!

Having faith and belief in yourself and your direction in life takes much courage from the inside out. True life fulfillment occurs when you hold onto your heart’s vision whilst taking inspired actions everyday with trust – even if the results are not showing up immediately. Be patient with yourself and look for any form of evidence with gratitude.

Hold onto your greatest and highest vision no matter what. True success and fulfillment only occurs when you continue to take actions towards achieving what you say you want and looking at whatever challenges you may face along your journey as learning insights about yourself and your beliefs. When you do this you will always identify what is working for you and what is not working for you which will help you to find better ways of doing things. So no matter what – always hold onto your heart’s vision and continue to take the actions that most inspire you. This will always create a free-flowing momentum that will help you to achieve your life purpose and life goals.

It’s My Birthday Special – Reflections

I find birthdays are a great time for honest reflection as to whether I am really on track at a deeper heart level steering my life in the direction I say I want to go.
The truth is there are always things outside of our control that cannot be understood (no matter how hard you try) with the only way through being to remain focused on what you have achieved and what you can take control of using heart responsibility and accountability.
Coaching Tip
As I reflect upon the past year, I have witnessed many challenges, many exciting moments, many times of uncertainty, many successful achievements all wrapped up into One! Yes, this is all a part of being humanly real inside of my true commitment of being ‘the best me’ I possibly can be each and every day.
Upon my honest reflections today, I am conscious about not making certain things wrong that did not work out or the unpleasant challenges or noticing the things that still have not yet happened in my life, and to consciously look at how I have grown by learning better ways of dealing with those challenges at a heart shifting level. This is what has been the most important aspect of my reflections today which I share with you from the bottom of my heart.
