Your expectations determine what you see and experience in life. If you anticipate problems, then
that is what you will see and experience. If you look for success, then you will see and experience
success. Your expectations are the steering wheel of your direction each day. In other words, the most fulfilling way to life success is to expect the best and look for the positive in everything.
Coaching Tip
Expect the best by visualizing your desired day in advance. See yourself moving through your day with ease and flow. See yourself being the confident person you desire to be. See yourself being organized and getting the children off to school with calmness. See yourself enjoying your choice of exercise. See yourself winning that contract to boost your business or career path.
Yes, this is a conscious action that needs to be remembered; so when you feel yourself off your path, then take deep breaths and move back into expecting the best. There is a gestation period which takes time, patience and daily practice.

Clear Direction in Life

Today’s Inspiration
There are times where you may be feeling at a loss or noticing that things just are not running smoothly leaving you feeling no clear direction in life. Notice what you are focussing on. It is easy to fall into the habit of focussing on what is not working and to not even see those things that are working. To live with a clear direction in life is to focus on taking simple steps in the important areas to you and acknowledge every little step you take.
Coaching Tip
Your mind can play tricks on you and sabotage your clear direction in life. I remember how my mind would complex life and make it harder than what it truly was. This became a non-supportive habit which I decided to change using 3 steps.
1. I placed a sign up in my office as a reminder which said “Keep It Simple Annette”.
2. I committed to simplify everything in my life and to catch myself whenever I made it harder than it truly was.
3. To remain focussed on what is important to me and to acknowledge what is working in my life each day.

When you plan your day ahead – the night before – you are more likely to create a flow of achievement throughout your day. The reason for this is because you program yourself through conscious planning taking this into your dream state whilst sleeping. You will wake up naturally stepping into your day with clarity and confidence knowing exactly that you have consciously set up your day for flowing success.
Coaching Tip
Yes, I know there can be unexpected things show up inside your day especially if you have children to get to school, or staff who need training, or lots of phone calls to return etc. When you practice preparing your day – the night before – you will be amazed over time just how much the universe will re-arrange things to support your day. Decide today to practice planning your day ‘the night before’ and notice the new flow occurring throughout your day.

Do you reflect on your daily and weekly accomplishments or do you find yourself caught up in the ‘what still has to be done’ cycle? When you make time on a regular basis to step back and acknowledge what you are achieving in your life and business (no matter how small); this will propel you to greater success without draining your energy.
Coaching Tip
I have had a number of coaching conversation over the past couple of weeks with clients who continually find themselves getting caught up in the overwhelm of what still has to do done, without acknowledging what they have accomplished up to now. If you remain focussed on the ‘to do list’ and do not take time out to reflect on how far you have come, then you will continue the cycle of not feeling successful which is not your truth.
Give yourself 5 minutes at the end of each day to acknowledge what you have done inside your day and notice the difference in the quality of your life and business success as you connect with the truth about what you are achieving.

If you are struggling to attract more money (or more of anything in your life), notice just how much you may be thinking about, and worrying about the very thing you say you want with feelings of lack because of not having it in your life yet! You just cannot want for more money on one hand, and feel the lack of not having it on the other hand; with the hope of receiving more – it just does not work that way.
Coaching Tip
The easiest and most soul-satisfying way of attracting more money and other things in your life that are important to you is through acknowledging what you do have right hear and right now. There is an art to this with a 2 step process which absolutely works that most people do not know about.
- As soon as your eyes open in the morning begin to thank everyone and everything in your life that is important to you with heart, enthusiasm and acceptance as you are getting ready for your day. If you can do this whilst you are exercising, then that is even more powerful because you are raising your energy levels which will create a higher vibration.
- At the end of each day, thank everyone you met, everything you did during your day and all the events that occurred looking for the opportunities and amazing learning experiences. Yes, even the things that did not turn out the way you were hoping!
Enjoy having an attitude of gratitude mindset for life.

You will not achieve what you say you want with positive thinking alone –it is important to feel the essence of what it would feel like to be living your heart’s desire as though you have already achieved it in your life.
Coaching Tip
This would have to be the biggest challenge and frustration because every cell in your body may be screaming that you have not achieved it yet and you are asking me to pretend as though I already have achieved it – Yes! It’s a big ask. You just cannot ask for more money and feel like you do not have enough. You cannot ask for your ideal relationship when you continually see it missing. You cannot ask for a passionate work life when you hate your current job. Get the idea.
Your energy and vibration (your feelings) from the inside out, is what you will always attract in your life. Practice being grateful for what you do have in your life today and trust that more will come to you. You need to let go of how, when, where and in what form it will show up. Focus on doing the things that bring your joy taking inspired actions.

How often do you find yourself wondering what others may be thinking of you? This is pretty draining
at times isn’t it! To live your life fully, means being authentic with yourself and having the courage to
be real with others. In others words ‘just be your true self’ and life becomes much easier with total
peace of mind and fulfilment.
Coaching Tip
I love the saying by Dr. Seus….”Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.” Take on the practice of never leaving a conversation without making sure you are clear. What this means is to make sure you say what you need to say so that you never feel like you are holding onto unfinished business. You will always have this nagging feeling in the back of your mind which will affect your body and other areas of your energy flow in life.
Practice saying what you need to say by being open and real, especially with the closest people in your life. Remember to always speak coming from your commitment to the relationship with love, respect and dignity.
