First Steps to Achieving Your Vision

How often do you find yourself pleasantly surprised when you finally take that first step just how much extra energy and enthusiasm you gain which propels you into feeling inspired to take the next steps from there? It always amazes me how the energy increases ten fold when finally taking an inspired action that you may have been pondering over for quite some time.
Coaching Tip
How often have you heard yourself saying… “Why didn’t I just do it in the first place without all that worry and concern?” I can certainly relate to this one when finally taking an action that I have been wanting to take for some time. The next time you find yourself pondering or procrastinating over an action you know you want to take, make a decision what the first step is and when you are going to do it.
By the way, there is NO Right Step – trust your intuition and take the step which feels right for you at that time. You will be surprised just how much you will achieve when you live by the model …‘Decision + Action = Results’.

Your Supportive Mindset

Having a supportive mindset is essential for your success. If you have a negative critic inside that continually controls your thoughts, then you will never achieve what you say you want in life without the stress and strain. If you want to achieve what you say you want in every area of your life, then begin to tame your inner critic – do not make it wrong – just catch it and replace it with a positive and supportive self-statements.
Coaching Tip
The inner critic is sometimes known as the chitter chatter going on inside your mind. The Buddha’s call it ‘monkey mind’. To actualize what you say you want in life, you need to become conscious about what you keep telling yourself, about yourself, which will be your automatic beliefs that will determine your results in life.
For example, if you keep telling yourself “I never have enough time to get things done”; then your belief is your time is always limited. Your body will feel like it is always chasing time, with the stress that goes along with this way of thinking. This is purely because you keep telling yourself that you don’t have enough time and it is now become your truth dictating your quality of life.
Change your beliefs through positive self-statements on a daily basis and begin to tell yourself “I have plenty of time”.
Yes, it needs to be repetitive until your new belief is automatic. This same principle also applies to Money, Career, Relationships, Business, Health, Confidence etc.

Is Your Time Being Gobbled Up?

Do you find yourself automatically saying ‘Yes’, when you know you really need to say ‘No’. Not wanting to upset staff, clients, family, friends etc. with the desire of wanting more acceptance in your life; only to find that in the end you let yourself down every time placing more stress on your body and your mind. Being true to you will accelerate your own success at a heart level every time.
Coaching Tip
If you are having problems with managing your time and not achieving your highest priorities throughout your day, then definitely have a good look at what you are saying ‘Yes’ to and how you are setting up your time schedule. If you are already known as ‘the yes person’, then you need to assertively take charge and make the necessary changes you know you want to make to stay on your true path to achieve your desired vision.

Are you living your ‘life style’ every day from your heart or are you dreaming of your lifestyle as a future
thing that will happen when you ‘have enough money, time, energy’? True wealth is how you choose to
set up your day bringing in everything that is important to you according to your heart values. Set up the
‘life style’ that suits you and the important people in your life.
Coaching Tip
I use to think that I could only live my desired lifestyle when I retired with enough money and time. Today I
know it has nothing to do with these things. Sure money and time are important; yet what is more important
is how you spend your time. It is all about knowing who you are and what is important to you, then making
sure you create the ‘style of life’ spending time doing those things.
Set up a conscious life style plan and begin to put those things in place on a daily, weekly, monthly and
yearly basis. My experience is, it is always the simple things in life that are the most desired each day
which create success, contentment, fulfilment wealth and inner peace. This is your true wealth and success.

Where Are Your Hands Now?

You may have heard about living in the present moment or Being in the Now! With the fast pace of life today it can be challenging to remember to Be Present to this very moment. When you take on a practice of being consciously present as best you can throughout your day, that is when your fast pace of life will begin to slow down so that you can get a chance to catch up and enjoy the journey.
Coaching Tip
My clients often ask me the question “How do I remember to Be Present”? A great tool to use as a physical reminder is to Be Wherever Your Hands Are Right Here and Now.
Take a moment to look at your hands and ask yourself “Where am I in body and mind right now? “What am I doing in this very moment?” Get really conscious about if your mind and your body are connected with what you are doing right now. Living with mind, body and soul connection by being present will give you the true success, fulfilment and happiness you are chasing in life.

Free Flow Living

True happiness and fulfilment in life occurs when you have the courage to trust your instincts and act on what your inner knowing is telling you. This is when you are truly ‘Living in your Flow’ with life showing up in such a way where you begin to see the ideal opportunities appearing right before your very eyes without the struggle.
Coaching Tip
If you are the type of person who lives life trying to ‘get it right’, ‘comparing yourself to others’ or ‘too busy being busy’, then you will never give yourself a chance to Live in your Flow because you are emeshed in other people’s flow – it is not your flow.
Begin today to trust your instincts and inner knowing ‘one small step at a time’ to act on what you already know is your flow. This will develop and evolve into your whole life giving you natural peace, happiness and fulfilment. It can be that simple if you practice ‘with patience’ over time.

The Key to Communication

Sometimes it is difficult to say what you really want to say to someone when you know you want
to set a particular boundary whilst keeping your relationships in a place of love, respect and dignity. There is a great communication tool I use called ‘CRC’. Commend~Recommend~Commend. We all love being acknowledged at the same time as knowing exactly where we stand.
Coaching Tip
More about CRC and how it works. Let’s say you want to let a colleague know that you do not appreciate them being late all the time.
How you frame it using the CRC method is to firstly Commend them on who they are to you inside your relationship and what you most value in them i.e. “I really value the work you are doing which is moving this project along”.
Then you come in with the Recommend i.e. “I have noticed you are late on occasions and I was wondering if there is a problem your end with our scheduling”. Then wait and listen to hear what they have to say…with you following on with an assertive (yet neutral tone) something like…”maybe we can schedule our meeting at a more appropriate time so that it suits both of us, as my preference is that we start at the time we set”.
Then follow on with the Commend i.e. “Once again (use their name), I wanted to let you know how much your valuable input is making a difference to this project”.
The CRC method works in all walks of life as a great communication tool. Give it a try!

Set Up Your Environment For Success

The environment you live and work in will always have a direct affect on your desired results. When you live and work in an environment that is clear of all the clutter, you will find yourself in your flow moving forward with better results. Your mind will be much clearer and calmer for you to see your obvious next steps of inspired action right in front of you. You will create even more energy and focus when you set up your environment for success.
Coaching Tip
Take a look around you wherever you are right now…Do you have any clutter; laying around…papers all over the table, unread mail, cluttered cupboards, dust on your table, bills not paid etc? This all detracts from you maintaining sustainable energy with a clear focus throughout your day.
Make time each week to begin to clear away, tidy up or get rid off anything that could possibly be blocking your own success. If you are the sort of person who is use to working and living inside of clutter; this becomes a habitual ‘way of being’ and you will never know the difference until you make the changes.

Have you noticed that when you react to challenges in life how it tends to create more turmoil. To have success in your life and your business, it is important to stick with the basics at all times; especially in times of the unexpected. It is the basics that build a wide and deep foundation for you personally and professionally so that when you feel off balance, you know you will always be standing on solid ground no matter what happens.
Coaching Tip
Having big ideas is great and sometimes I notice that when I am in the process of planning and moving towards my new projects, that is the time I find my consistent foundation being waivered. This creates a feeling of uncertainty which is not real, it is purely a perception based on a reaction.
When you know that you continue living with what works for you in your life and your business acting on your deep knowing of intuition/gut feelings this will always create a solid foundation for you. So just notice next time you find yourself reacting to something, it doesn’t matter whether it is personal or business, that is your indication to have a look at your foundations.
