Having a life and business vision will always give you purpose, meaning and a clear direction in your whole life – not just part of it. A vision will support you in times of doubt, especially when you face challenges and you start to question the who, what, and how you want to live your life, based on what’s most important to you. Having a vision will help you to maintain your focus and achieve your personal and professional ambitions.

Coaching Tip

When I first started my coaching business and had times of challenges and self-doubt, my own coach would always ask me to read my vision. There were times when I really did not want to do this because of the uncertainty I held on to in that moment. What I found, however, was that reading my vision brought me back into the present and stopped the frustration and the sense of being overwhelmed. Most of all, it reminded me of what was truly important to me now. That helped me see that the challenge I was dealing with at that time was insignificant in the big scheme of my vision. In that instant, I always found a way of managing the challenge with ease and taking the next step.
